Interventional Radiology Academic Faculty, MGH and MGB
The Mass General Brigham Department of Radiology seeks a candidate for a clinical faculty position in the Division of Interventional Radiology. The work is primarily based at Massachusetts General Hospital, with an optional opportunity to spend time at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Outpatient center in Waltham. Candidates should be board-certified or board eligible in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology and have completed an Interventional Radiology fellowship or residency in an ACGME accredited program.
The candidate should be able to perform all types of interventional radiology procedures, including organ biopsies, drainages, urological/biliary/gastrointestinal interventions, arterial and venous interventions, dialysis access interventions, interventional oncology procedures, and TIPS/portal interventions. It is also expected that the candidate will actively participate in outpatient and inpatient clinical care, longitudinal patient care, attend interdisciplinary clinical conferences and supervise and teach residents and advanced practice providers. There are growth opportunities for candidates, including participating in research and leadership opportunities. Strong interpersonal skills are expected to work collaboratively with referring physicians, nurses, and technologists.
The Division is actively involved in clinical and basic science research. MGB interventional radiologists collaborate with numerous clinical colleagues in oncology, nephrology, hepatology, and surgeons from MGH/BWH and other Harvard University-affiliated hospitals.
Both MGH and BWH are major teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School. Academic rank is anticipated to be at Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
The MGB Department of Radiology has a solid commitment to faculty development, wellness, and academic advancement. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
