Northside Hospital Cancer Institute is searching for Medical Physicists to join our growing radiation oncology team, with open Radiation Therapy Physics positions at our Atlanta, East Atlanta (Decatur/Snellville), and Macon locations. The successful candidates will join a team of 23 physicists within an ACR-accredited, vibrant and growing program spanning 17 locations across Greater Atlanta area, middle and north Georgia.
Northside Hospital Radiation Oncology locations utilize a wide array of equipment that include Varian machines utilizing ARIA and some sites operating in an Elekta/MOSAIQ environment. We utilize Eclipse for external beam treatment planning and in-house scripting as well as tools from RadFormation in our various workflows. Quality assurance is performed using equipment and software from Sun Nuclear, Varian, IBA, PTW, and others. Treatment techniques offered IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, SGRT, HDR and LDR brachytherapy, Gamma Knife SRS, MR Guided Adaptive RT and TBI.
The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology at Atlanta is located in Atlanta, GA. The clinic utilizes ARIA and is equipped with a Varian TrueBeam with AlignRT SGRT system, two Varian clinacs, Viewray MRIdian, Gammamed HDR and GE CT scanner. The physicist would be accompanied by two other medical physicists , one medical physics assistant, four radiation oncologists, three medical dosimetrists, therapists and nurses.

The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology at Decatur and Snellville are located east/northeast of Atlanta city limits. The Decatur clinic has a Varian Halcyon with an in-bore SGRT system, two Varian clinacs, GE scanner and consists of a team of two radiation oncologists, two dosimetrists, therapists and nurses. The Snellville clinic is equipped with a Varian TrueBeam with an AlignRT system, Gammamed HDR, and GE CT scanner. The radiation oncology team at Snellville consists of a radiation oncologist, medical dosimetrist, therapists and nurses. These clinics utilize ARIA and the physicist will be completing the group of four physicists that support these locations.
The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology at Macon is located in Macon, GA, just over an hour southeast from the Atlanta metro area. This MOSAIQ clinic is equipped with a GE 4DCT scanner, an Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator with an AlignRT SGRT system, and a microSelectron HDR unit. The radiation oncology team at Macon consists of this full-time physicist position, one radiation oncologist, medical dosimetrist, therapists and nurses.

Requirements
MS or PhD degree in medical physics
Board certification or eligibility pending Part II or III in therapeutic medical physics from the American Board of Radiology (or equivalent)
Eligible for addition to the radioactive materials license to handle radioisotopes as a Qualified Medical Physicist
Excellent communication and problem solving skills and desire to master existing and new treatment technologies, and to educate others, to ensure treatments of the highest safety and quality
