Description
*Job Summary* The PACS/RIS Administrator manages daily operations and improves work processes in Diagnostic Imaging. They handle applications supporting Diagnostic Imaging operations. This is an onsite position in Round Rock, Texas. *Essential Functions of the Role* * Demonstrates basic level knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures and equipment. * Responsible for day-to-day operations and integrity of Imaging based applications & devices including image workflow, equipment and other related activities. * Works closely with Imaging personnel to ensure complete DICOM data capture into PACS. Also ensures network transmission, RIS validation, and exceptions handling in all necessary applications promptly. * Provides system administration support to departmental managers. Generates statistical reports on utilization, compliance, and other metrics. * Performs, as needed, charge capture reconciliation, requesting new procedure codes and ensuring correct charges are applied to accounts. * Implements and conducts user training programs. * Provides technical and problem-resolution support. Offers first-line application support to all end users. Diagnoses system hardware, software, network, and user faults. * Serves as a liaison between users, vendors and IT. * Ensures system efficiency and security. * Provides after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call support on a rotational basis to multiple facilities or as needed. *Key Success Factors* * Thorough knowledge of the radiology department processes is required. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. * Availability outside normal business hours. Able to take call, if required. * Able to perform tasks autonomously without need for routine oversight. * Able to provide services timely, accurately, and cost-efficiently in compliance with system standards, policies and procedures. * Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives. * Knowledge of EPIC Radiant, Visage PACS, Nuance PowerScribe, TeraRecon, PenRad and other imaging applications. *About Us* Here at Baylor Scott & White Health we promote the well-being of all individuals, families, and communities.
