Description
Emergency Radiologists, Boston MA
Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking ABR-certified radiologists to join our thriving Division of Emergency Radiology. The Emergency Radiology Division operates 24/7/365 from a newly redesigned reading room centrally located within the BWH Emergency Department (BWH ED), a level 1 trauma center. We staff 10 overlapping shifts spanning the 24-hour cycle (some onsite, others which may be worked remotely from home workstations), using a flexible staffing and compensation model honed over 15 years to maximize long term sustainability. The Emergency Radiology faculty includes 22 enthusiastic team players who share a supportive and collaborative group culture.
Our Emergency Radiologists oversee all aspects of diagnostic imaging for acutely ill and injured patients in the BWH ED, five other affiliated Mass General Brigham (MGB) network ERs, and several urgent care centers. Our imaging spans all organ systems and modalities. We benefit from state-of-the-art imaging equipment (including Dual Energy and Photon Counting CT), and our Division is recognized as a leader in Emergency Radiology clinical innovation and practice management. We train a motivated group of residents and up to six Emergency Radiology fellows each year. We value our excellent collaborations with Emergency Medicine, Surgery, the Trauma service, and our other Radiology divisions across MGB.
Candidates must have a demonstrated career interest in Emergency Radiology, must have excellent clinical skills in all modalities and organ systems (including neuro and ultrasound), and must be able to thrive in shift work, in a fast-paced adrenaline-filled environment while remaining calm under pressure. Emergency Radiology Fellowship training is preferred, and/or prior attending experience in Emergency Radiology.
Compensation and benefits packages are highly competitive. Both academic track and fully clinical positions are available, with a corresponding range of work configurations from hybrid onsite/remote to predominantly remote. For academic track candidates, an established research and/or educational portfolio is preferred in order to achieve expected Harvard Medical School promotion within the first several years of employment. You will be expected to engage fully in both the clinical and non-clinical activities of the division, including contributions in education, research, and/or administration.
Interested individuals should forward a CV, and names and contact information of three references to:
