What will you be doing in this role:

The Applications Specialist II in Imaging independently provides an intermediate level of operational and application build experience in completing routine and occasionally more sophisticated assignments to meet customer goals and desired outcomes. Task and assignment focus are typically on medium to large projects, performing workflow analysis, build, and documentation in collaboration with internal and external team members.

  • Performs intermediate level design, build, and implementation assignments/ projects for medical imaging applications.
  • Participates in re-engineering of operational work-flow processes with end-users/business owners and maintains working level understanding of assigned departmental operations.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency in assigned imaging application area. Independently manages navigation of migration paths, change control process/governance, and ticket management processes.
  • Provides high-level understanding of design integration and touch points with Epic modules and/or other applications as needed.
  • Maintains high standards for application design, build, testing, and documentation for support and end-user training.

Experience Requirements:

  • Three (3)+ years of relevant healthcare information systems experience.
  • Powerscribe experience preferred.
  • Radiology PACS administration, PACS vendor implementation or support experience preferred.
  • Image Exchange experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and system analysis.

Educational/Certifications Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science. (preferred)

CIIP, Medical Technology, or system equivalent license preferred.
