Postdoctoral Position – Pediatric Radiation Oncology and Medical Imaging
A post-doc position is available in Dr. Sahaja Acharya’s lab in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.
Our lab uses medical imaging (CT/MRI) to understand the mechanisms of cancer treatment related neurocognitive decline in children. Specific areas of research include diffusion tensor imaging and tractography, functional MRI processing, and deep learning and artificial intelligence techniques for medical image processing and analysis. We are also investigating novel methods of radiation therapy delivery designed to reduce neurocognitive deficits.
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly qualified individuals to join a diverse team. Candidates with any of the following expertise are of particular interest: image processing, deep learning and high-performance computation. Prior experience in the above-mentioned research areas is desired. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, statistics or a relevant field. Investigators are supported by a wide array of intellectual, technological, and research resources available through the department and School of Medicine.
Postdoctoral fellow salary will be based on NIH guideline, individual health insurance [through the School of Medicine Student Health Program (SHP)] and dental insurance will be provided. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience and benefits will be provided.
