Join a department rooted in excellence. The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Musculoskeletal Radiologist to join our renowned Department of Radiology.
The Department of Radiology at Tufts Medical Center, was established by Alice Ettinger, MD, a pioneer in her field, Dr. Ettinger was responsible for introducing the spot film imaging technique to the United States. The Department honors her legacy by contributing to groundbreaking academics and research that allows for care of the whole patient as opposed to just the image. This is an opportunity to work with a close-knit team, at a level 1 trauma center, who provides renowned academic care that provides to a diverse patient population.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Musculoskeletal Radiology with proficiency in interpretation of MSK MR and CT scans. Basic MSK procedural skills are required as there are typically about two MSK procedures (joint injections/aspirations and arthrograms) a day. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about advancing patient care and clinical research, and contributing to education and training of future radiologists at a leading academic medical center.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional care to the patient my interpreting MSK MR and CT scans, bone/joint x-rays, MSK procedures (joint injections/aspirations and arthrograms), and limited MSK/soft tissue ultrasound interpretation.
- Participate in the teaching of radiology residents and medical students. Being an active member in research projects and quality improvement projects with medical students and residents is encouraged.
- Participation in multidisciplinary conferences and educational conferences.
- Clinical and non-clinical work-based incentives are available and paid annually at the time of annual performance review with the Chair.
- Have a presence on-site to collaborate with members of the department. However, partial remote work is available.
- Weekday shifts are from 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Weekend on-call duties (Plain Film, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) are remote (home workstations are provided to each radiologist).
- Additional opportunities such as moonlighting, academic time, administrative time, and a Section Chief role can be offered with this role depending on experience and career aspiration.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold an MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent degree.
- Board eligibility/Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
- Candidates must have completed, or be in the process of completing, at the time of application, or scheduled to complete after residency, an MSK radiology fellowship.
- Medical licensure or eligibility in Massachusetts.

The salary range for this position is $440,000.00 - $535,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined during the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
